Position Overview:
We are looking for an associate with 3-5 years of recent business litigation experience to join our team. This position is ideal for an attorney who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a varied caseload with accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong legal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
What You'll Do:
* Conduct legal research and prepare detailed research memoranda.
* Communicate directly with clients to provide legal advice and updates.
* Draft pleadings, including initial filings, motions, settlement documents, discovery requests and responses, and disclosure statements.
* Conduct depositions and perform fact-finding activities.
* Attend court hearings, ADR proceedings, conferences, and client meetings.
* Represent clients in mediation and settlement discussions.
* Assist with trial preparation and serve as part of the trial team.
* Negotiate case resolutions and settlements.
* Ensure compliance with applicable statutes, rules, and case law.
* Perform administrative and case management responsibilities.
What You'll Need:
* License to practice law in multiple states is a plus.
* 3-5 years of law firm experience.
* Experience with eDiscovery platforms and other legal technology tools (preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
